First of all, some pictures of the closets we finished yesterday:All the bedroom closets are now entirely white inside, with newly-covered rods and cleaned hardware and melamine-coated white shelves.
We went with wood-look shelves for the cedar closet.
Today's work started this morning when G. and I taped all the bedrooms so we could paint them--finally with COLOR! See the pretty blue painter's tape?
Then after lunch we started painting the bedrooms. I don't know if it's because the paint and brushes are so much better, or if it's because the BIN primer is such an awesome base, or if it's because G. and I have done so much painting in the last two weeks, but we kicked butt! We got all three bedrooms painted in a matter of hours and then went on to start taping the hall and living room (until we ran out of blue tape).
Here's the Master bedroom, painted:
A closer view of one wall:We'll do some touch-up tomorrow and then peel off the tape...
We stopped at Menard's tonight to exchange the shelf for one closet (we accidentally bought one too short) but they were out of the size we needed. We did pick up the additional blue tape and found three more closet rod covers!

So soaking the hardware in Mr. Clean worked?
Also...what's with going to Menard's? Isn't that kind of far?
(I will admit to having a personal dislike of Menards...)
